| 14. | Discussion Item: What if student completes courses a number of years prior to printing their transfer guide? For example... John Doe went to ABC Community College 10 years ago and has 30-40 hours of credit he earned during that period. A number of these courses are now listed on his transfer guide that he just printed during his first semester back at his new Community College (different from ABC). Now John wants to transfer to XYZ University. Does the transfer guide cover coursework taken prior to his printing the guide? Does the four-year school have to accept all his coursework that appears on his transfer guide and reward degree credit? Should there be a time limit assigned on coursework that limits the age of a course and leaves it up to the receiving institution to determine if credit is received or not and how it is counted? Should the AGSC add content to the Transfer Agreement to cover this situation? |
