WHAT ARE TEMPLATES?
Templates are used to establish the
degree requirements for AREAS I-V for each of the majors offered through
STARS. The majority of all templates are created by one of three
groups:
- General Studies Academic
Committees (GSACs)
- Pre-professional Academic
Committees (PACs)
- University Academic
Administrators who are the only institutions that offered programs in a given
discipline (INSTITUTION SPECIFIC TEMPLATES)

HOW DO TEMPLATES BECOME TRANSFER
GUIDES?
Once ratified by the AGSC, the
STARS Office takes the template and creates a transfer guide based on the
specific requirements listed on the ratified document. At that point, the STARS
Office verifies the institutions which offer a degree in the major. The guide
can then be used by students to guarantee transfer of their courses in the
major. -- To view unofficial transfer guides,
