Purpose - Graduate Academic Council

This Council advises the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost concerning all phases of the graduate program development and delivery, specifically long-range planning, curriculum development, revision, and policy decisions. The Council has the responsibility for review of all graduate policy waivers and approval of all proposed revisions and modifications for all graduate degree programs, subject to review and approval by the Provost, Chancellor and the Board of Trustees.  The Graduate Academic Council agenda is prepared by the Associate Provost/Dean of the Graduate School for the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost.  Agenda items are submitted through the deans of academic colleges.

Membership- Graduate Academic Council

(18 members)

Representatives must be Graduate Faculty with preferably three consecutive years of full‑time service as a graduate faculty member.  Exceptions to these criteria may be made with the concurrence of the Graduate Dean.
